The Indulgence Of Ingratitude

Published by arbpoet at 8:30 pm under Poetry Edit This

Some people rush through their lives,
never pausing to contemplate, the
miracle of life.
They are blind to a vibrant existence
breathing all around.

Some people lack appreciation of the
preciousness of life.
Each living thing, even an ant
deserves the gift of life.
Every instant is marked more by
destruction not preservation.

Some people have no gratitude.
They consider only their own lives as
important.
They never glance twice at the
suffering of people witnessing death.

Some people indulge in petty
pursuits, causing turmoil and the
sadness of a wrecked world.

They never see the filth that is killing
our home.

The indulgence of ingratitude will only
cause indulgence of death.

Those who destroy and refuse to save
our treasure, will not have the justice that
they failed to show the earth.
